88 s10 blazer ( 1st gen ) build log

thanks guy, keep up of the recomendation. as i can use them.

as for the new sub, boom you hit the nail on the head. thats what i was going to do. as i got to thinking about is and figure the subs would fight each other.

so going to put the new in the box i have and use it for a few months. buy then ill have the box ready.

boy cant wait...

i started tuning the 4ch amp all i can say is ( ITS FREAKING LOUD, I CANNOT TURN IT PAST 18 ON THE H/U AS MY EARS START HURTING LOL ) i love it...

sorry the other guy wanted to know if that box for 2 subs had a divider, that would be a no.

thats why im going to break in the new sub in the box i already have. then ill put both in that box.

y- spliters off my sub rca from h/u .
so 1 18' rca back to amps. then ill split it so i can hook up 2 amps.
But when you do that doesn't in cut you pre out voltage in half? Say if you had a 4v pre out and you split it wouldn't each amp only be getting 2v ?

from what i have read no it does not work like that. whether that true i dont know. hell i have spliters on my 4ch. and it works/sounds great.

but i have been thinking about it and instead of running 2 bass nobs ill get the pac lc-1 . that way ill have 1 control over both amps.

ok, heres a little up date..

i just ordered.....

new ppi ba7000.1 amp

new aq 200.2 amp

4- more sq super tweeters

4- 8" woofer dayton 8 ohm

knu 4ga wire

12ga and 14ga speaker wire

some 1/0 and 4ga ring terminals

2- amg batterys

thats it for now.

but have converted my stock 4x6 panel cover to hold 2 sq super tweeters per side. and redoing my a-pillar pods. now there will be 2 sq super tweeters on each one. so i will have 4 sq super tweeters on each side of the truck.

putting the 8" woofers in the lower part of the doors. going to get 4 more 8" so i will have 4 per door.

going to make another amp rack for 6 amps. (( 2- ppi ba7000.1....... 2- us acoustics Barbra ann 4ch ....... 2- aq 200.2 2ch amps ))

ppi amps for 2 hdc3 15"............ us amps for 8- sq super tweeters and sq pro 6.5......................... aq amps for 8" dayton bass speakers.

in the processes of making a custom center console that will hold a 7" pioneer flip-out h/u,,, 10.1 tablet,, all gauges, switches, ect,,,.

ill post some pics later.

ok these are pods for 2 sq super tweeters. these go on top of my dash were the 4x6 speakers were....

ok these pod are for were my 6x9 speaker go. i have a set of sq 6.5 comps. with tweeters and crossovers. this will be my rear fill.

so as you can see i will be running 4 sq super tweeters per side.

in a day or 2 i will be getting my dayton 8" bass speakers in. so im going to finish these pods up so i can start on my lower doors. that were the 8" will go.

i also picked up a like new aq 200.2 amp and going to use that for my dayton's .
