8 tens in a shared box?

Are your jack hammer subs single voice coil or dual?

Either way, you will need more power, but it sounds like something in the wiring is off.

As recommended above, a Sundown 1500.1 would be a good match provided the final ohm load could be at 1 ohm mono.

Ok so I took some peoples advice and bought a bigger amp and I plan on rewiring the system this weekend...I bought a Hifonics Brutus and hope its big enough to do the job.Ill let everyone know how it shakes out.

Ok so a update...I got the system done..I am waiting for my larger amp to show up but **** this thing bangs like crazy...I have 5 mounted standard and 3 inverted in a upper box...I figured out that the 3 inverted ones need the wires reversed and that made all of the difference in the world....

Ill have to take a picture so everyone can see what Ive been working on...

Once again, thanks for your help everyone!

Hello,I am new to the boards and back into car audio...So I got this wiled hair and decided to doa project in my show car...my plan was to install 8 tens in a my car and my buddy that is into audio and has been longer then I have told me to put build a shared enclosure....Ok here is what Im working with...I bought 8 10" jackhammers that my local circuit city had on sale...Its mainly for the wow factor in a show car. Now after installed it dont hit as hard as two used to in the same car and same amp....Now I wired 4 in series, the other 4 in series and then ran the 2 groups of 2 in parallel for 2ohm and 2 ohm load......
Please dont flame me as I have been out of the game for some time and am kind of out of the loop, but am still somewhat familiar with audio.

any feedback as to why the subs arent doing the job...I ruled out my amp and installed my buddies Boston that kills his 12's...no luck its still the same.

8 tens......

....You know they make 18" woofers now.

yeppers....they are know.
you sure? I've had times where I was sure as hell I'd wired things in the right phase, and then had it not hit like it should...flip a wire and its loud as it should be

do the subs look like they're getting 90 watts? do they move quite a bit, but are just quiet? or do they hardly move?

Actually I have fixed the problem that I posted first about...They were out of phase but are reversed and slam like crazy now..Yes that is correct I do have only less the 90 watts per sub but have a larger amp coming...Its actually kind of crazy loud as it is...Several guys that have systems said it was by far the loudest they have heard....I know I know....Its not the loudest out there but **** it does a number on my roof and trunk panels and literally shakes your clothes from outside the car...lol...Im happy, thats why I ordered a bigger amp,I want to be more then happy..lol

figured since were on the topic it wouldnt hurt to ask. if i wanted to switch the phase on my sub and have it wired like this http://www.the12volt.com/12voltimages/1_2ohm_dvc_1ohm.gif
to switch the phase do i just switch the + and - at the amp or do i gotta switch the wires at the terminal on my sub box as well?
just switch at the amp, if you switch at the box also, its flipping it twice so you're back where you started
