Wow, alright. As in "Wow, what a waste of money!" or "Wow, what a lame underpowerd ghetto system!"

This type of system is usually done up with a crappy thin plywood box, 16 gauge power wire and factory front speakers.

To answer some questions....The amp is rated low for comp use...The 25 to life series are limited to 2500 pieces and are way way under rated for comp use....The amps birth sheet shoes 732 watts at 2 ohm... I knew the amp was not going to be enough to max out the subs but I figured it would be enough to get some thump from the subs...My friend has a boston amp that is rated at over 1000 watts so we hooked up his and it you can tell the subs worked harder but just didnt sound like they were doing much...He seems to think something is crosses up somewhere.....Ill test it tonight after work....

When I said I have been out of the game,im 34 years old and havent had a system since I was 16 years old.......So..yeah ive been out for a minute..lol..

Thanks for all of the help,ill figure it out,but for now thanks for not beeing too hard on me...lol.

one more thing,all air space was figured per sub but all space is shared.....anyone think this could be a problem? or is sharing the air space ok?

if your looking for the wow factor get like 2 or 3 more of those amps and a few nice batteries in back. if one of those amps powered 2 nice problem solved imagine 4 sets of 2

Having all the subs in a shared enclosure is not the problem. Go back and check the wiring.

I'm guessing its an issue with the wiring of the subs. Even on 90w a piece, 8 10's should get loud as hell.

yeah it most likely sounds like a wiring issue. if you have a combination of subs out of phase, they can literally cancel the output from one to the next. and with that many subs in a shared chamber, you might not see the difference in the cone movement. also, did you make sure all your seams are sealed tightly? an air leak can cause a large loss at times as well.

yes i do understand...my birth sheet reads 732 rms at 2 ohm....The subs are 200 rms each.

buy a DMM and make sure it's seeing the correct ohm loads at the amp. and check to make sure they are all wired in phase. someone mentioned that before but i don't know if you saw it...

Try unhooking the speaker leads from the amp, then take a 9v battery and put the + on the + and the - on the - and see if all the subs move in the same direction. Sounds like 1 or more subs are out of phase...

That is enough power per sub to be fairly loud...
