8" Sub help

I was wondering if anyone has heard or has 3 or 4 eight inch subs before. I am thinking about getting some 8's, but i dont know if they can get loud. The reason i want some 8's is to be a little different than people i know that have 2 10's, 2 12's, and 2 15's. I would need an amp for them and an enclosure(which i could make on my own if someone gives me a suggestion for the type). I want some 8's that can sound better than 2 punch stage 3's with a total of 800 watts rms. Any suggestions?

my friend has my 2 8" pionners in his mustang and they do sound very good in a sealed box. I could feel the bass throught my front door handle when he was out in the street. They are 80WRMS and hes giving them 130WRMS.

They go for about $260 on Ebay...so expect to pay more from an authorized dealer.

has anybody heard the audiobahn alum series, i heard they sound pretty good and there only 60 a piece

I've heard decent things about the alums. For that price, you might as well throw like 6 of them in your car rather than a single 8w7.
