How about these subs and this amp?

Another question for you guys. I was the one talking about the eclipse and when to put in it. How about this , 4 12" type Xs all in a ported box, I was thinking 1 on each side and 2 in the center. They would be running of this amp, what about that set up? Also how big of an alternator would I need to get , would a 200 amp one suffice or should I go bigger?

I think that amp its way too much for 4 type X's

You should get 2 Orion2500D and a 250amp alt

As it turns out it is 10K so I guess that out of the question , but what amps would I have to get if I wanted all alpine?

Any amp that can produce around 4000 watts. You can use less if you wish. One Orion 2500d would work even. Or a fosgate T20001bd or T30001bd. Kicker has a 2500 don't they?

And yes. I can see a new Alt being needed.

alright I will check in to the orion, I have never had experience with them or heard them before but I hear good reviews. What about teknique amps? My friend has a 2000 watt one and I have heard good reviews about that to, anyone of you heard them before?

I just check the orion site and the 2500 puts out 1200 at 4 ohms, so does that mean each sub will get 600 watts if I get two of those amps? I think that I need to put more power into these subs.

wire the subs at 1ohm load on each amp and you'll get like 2700rms, plenty of power for the type x's
