8 ohm ?

i tried search already but couldn't find anything, i want to know how to wire 8 ohm rockford fosgate to 4 ohm. they say 400 rms and single voice coil. and what would the rating be at 4 ohms? please help thanks.

You can't wire a single 8 ohm VC to 4 ohms.

The RMS of the sub will always stay the same, no matter if you wire a bunch of them to 0.000000003 ohms or 180,000 ohms.

Wiring more of them in series or parallel, or if you have a DVC sub. But that still doesn't change the RMS rating of each individual subwoofer.

The only things the ohms of the subs will do is let you be able to get more out of your amp. You will get more power out of your amp if you run them at 4 ohms rather than 8 ohms. The RMS of the sub will stay the same though
