6x8 questions

In my mazda 626, I have 6x8 speakers all around, what difference would replacing the speakers with plate style speakers, such as something like https://www.onlinecarstereo.com/caraudio/product.asp?sku=10512

make as in terms of sound quality?

ok I have 2 different explorers (one being a mountineer really but) they are both 6x8 stock and in both I went with brackets and put in components and the 5 1/4 components, very happy with that move, little more money but it was worth it, a must if you care about SQ

How would you go attaining brakcets? I talked to a guy at Tweeter, and he said that he would make a template and then mount it behind the factory speaker hole, I was wondering if there was any easier way, because I'd rather do it myself than pay a bunch and have someone install it and not even know how they did it and then not even have the knowledge of how to fix it if it breaks or if I want to change it somehow in the future. Thanks.
