$600 for complete system

The 15" MB Quart is rated for 700 watts. The 12" model is rated for 500 watts. Both can handle the power no problem.
Of course the ID Max or a pair of W6s are a better option, they're both extremely expensive in comparison to the MB Quart. If you can trust the people selling them, jump on it. But then you're going to need a budget friendly/entry level or used amplifier. The Crescendo amplifier I linked is far from entry level.
haha yeah thats the hard part. the idmax seller's first thread was the posting for the idmax. lol. so i asked him to ship first. and the w6 poster, seems more reliable. but still not a sure thing.

your kind of convincing me for that mb.

Crescendo amplifier .. never ran or heard much of their amps. their good amps im assuming?

You ever heard of Sundown Audio? Their amps are loved by forum members and SPL competitors all over the world. The Crescendo amps are exactly the same....at a fraction of the price.

Yes, they're nice.

yes! i run an sae (just), myself.

...ah yes, i remember you mentioend they were very much alike.

yes, ive heard many good things about sundown on this forum, but not so much at other places (i started a thread about this a few days ago, i think you might have replied to it)

well for this build, im trying to keep it simple at a low budget. with not too much clutter. its my friends set up, not mine after all.

your convincing me on the crescendo. however if i get a bigger sub(s) i might need a mono amp on its own to power it.

Contact Stephen Mantz at Zed Audio (zedaudio@aol.com or get his phone # from Zed Audio Corporation but I don't think he always works Fridays) He has some very nice old school Boss 4 channels new-old-stock. I've built a few budget systems for friends with them and they are fantastic amps for the money and the clear top ones actually look really nice since they're Zed boards, the only thing that sucks is the "Boss" name and the grossly inflated power ratings stamped on them.

Any of the gear listed would be fine IMO. The JBL GTI 1200.1 amps come up on eBay as refurbs from JBL/Harmon direct and are a good buy at the prices they usually sell for.

Don't forget big subs want a big box (did you budget for a box with all this?)

Crescendo only has two amplifiers at the moment. The 1000C4 4 channel and the 3KWP monoblock. The mono amp is 3,000+ watts rms and it costs $550 shipped...
aah yes i see now, i didnt look before. was probably too late for me. ha

anyways, well i put a couple of offers for the idmax and w6's, i guess il have to wait and see what they say.

if its a go, then i guess il have to have get my friend a bigger mono to put out more power. and then i can just get a 2 channel for the ids
