600.1 Problem

My 600.1 was installed recently and I have a problem every time I turn the HU on. Simply put: my amp light comes on yet I only get 15sec. of my sub playing before it stops. When I turn the HU off the on again I get the same result. When the sub stops playing the amp light remain the same--green.

Any suggestions on what it might be? Thank you.

What load are you presenting to the amp?

you dont have a inline circut breaker right?

I have a DVC 6ohm sub wired to 3ohm and I'm not sure of the circuit breaker. Where would the circuit breaker be?

A circuit breaker is an alternative to using fuses, so either ya have one or ya don't, so i'm guessing you don't.

Did the amp just start having these problems, or has it been like that since the day it was installed? You could try to borrow another amp and hook it up to see if works....if it doesn't then there's a problem in your installation, if it does then theres a problem with the amp

The amp just started to have these problems. Beside the two fuses in the amp it-self there is one on the power wire going to the battery.

OK well that answered my question

Test anothe ramp and see if your having problems, or even just a differen sub.

I'm assuming its an instalation problem...but it could easily be a malfuntioning amp...though that would be a lil strange for that amp...they seem to be quite reliable
