6 gauge wire with distribution block?

I need to know if I can use 6 AW wire in a 4 gauge distribution block? As of right now my power Wire is 6 AW and when I buy another amp for my door speakers i want to run 4 AW from the battery to a distribution block then cut my 6 AW wire in 2 pieces and use that as the output wire. So can I buy a distribution block with a 4 AW input and two 4 AW outputs but use my 6 AW wire for the output?

It should fit.Its just a tad bit smaller than 4ga.It should work just fine..IMO

Why not do it right and run 0 gauge man?. I know a place selling good OFC 0 gauge kits for 89 bucks. pm me if your interested.

Because 0 gauge is definitaly over kill for what im using that and im trying to keep it as cheap as possible but still functional you know
