6.5" Rear speakers

Right now I have kicker coaxial 6.5 in the back, I have 5.25 JL audio comps in the front and subs in the trunk. My 6.5 and 5.25 speakers aren't amp-ed. My kickers distort, and I don't have crossovers on them. I was going to use bass blockers but was told that that wouldn't work. I am starting to think that it wouldn't be worth buying crossovers for these kickers. So I have $50 to spend to fix the problem.

Should I buy new speakers w/ crossovers?

Should I use the bass blockers?

Should I buy crossovers?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions.

Please keep in mind I would like to spend as little money as possible. These speakers aren't that important as they are in the back and serve as filler.

I really want to hear opinions on bass blockers this is what I bought.

buy an amp for the speakers and turn yer **** bass down
My bass is all the way down.

If I bought and amp would it really be necessary for the kickers to be hooked to it because I found a good deal on a two channel amp.
