I am looking for a good set of component speakers for under $350. Any suggestions?..... And also if you could recommend a relatively cheap amp to power them, that would be great too.

If you're going ebay, and want to spend around $100 +-$20 you can get a used JL 300/2, a diamond audio d3 400.2, an orion hp-2600, a phoenix gold ZX400ti, and a few other nice amps, like hifonics and ppi. Thos amps are all pretty comparable in specs so you'd basically be looking at build quality.

For components I always like to look at Cadence, as they have become my new favorite brand since I just started running them throughout my car. Their CVL-6K beat out the Polk momo mmc-6500 components I had in there before hand and were about the same price. There's actually a set on ebay right now as a BIN for $100. I got mine for $150 shipped. I don't know other's opinions on them though.

I didnt want to start another component thread..but i'm looking into the same thing...About $350, I'm thinking of going with the Hertz HSK165's. Seems to be a good choice. Maybe even the JL C5's
