6.5" component set

I have been running a set of jbl p660c components. I loved the sound, strong midbass, and ability to get loud without distorting to try and keep up with sub stage. I also have a set of jbl c508gtis. I switched back and forth and after some listening, the gtis are so much more detailed and still get loud. But being a 5.25 component set, they are lacking some of the midbass punch. Any suggestions on a 6.5 set that will give me the strong midbass of my p660's and the clarity of my gti's? But still be able to crank up loud with the sub stage?

I can get jbl c608gtis for around 450. So looking for a lower cost set.

If you can let the subwoofer play higher I recommend crossing the GTi woofers a bit higher to protect them. Unless the subwoofer rolls off the top end too fast, the bigger cone can make for vicious midbass attack. The detail will always come from the speakers, but the thud or kick we like starts with the fundamental.

I have the subs crossed at 120 hz. Box is tuned for 34 hz approximately. I have the gtis crossed at around 120 hz also. It actually blends well now. But I was going to increase my port size and tune a bit lower. If I do I'll sacrifice some top end on the subs. Right now I'm sacrificing some bottom end. I bought the gtis with intentions of going active and add a dedicated 8" midbass
