6.5 components. set or raw drivers?

Installing some speakers for a friend. Amp will be a ppi900.4

Thinking of either the jbl p660, hertz dsk, or image dynamics ctx for already made sets but he will have the ability to run active mids and tweets so can someone put together some raw driver options that will surpass the speakers i already listed for around those prices $150-200

Mids will be in doors. Looking for a pretty standard 6.5 that wont require cutting metal or custom rings like i had to do with my silver flutes.

Tweets will be in dash in stock location which is aimed at windshield.

He listens to mostly rap and soft hippy crap with alot of acoustic guitars and strings and whatever so i guess sq is important or as much as we can achieve doing a budget setup

I'm kind of in the same boat if someone wants to chime in.

I have Morel Tempo 5 components which sound good but I also have the ability to run active and at least upgrade my midbass speaker. I know a lot of people rave about CDT/Dayton on here for midbass speakers.

Yea, im kinda disappointed at the lack of responses haha. I may just go the jbl p660 route for ease and budget

The Dayton ND140's look pretty nice, and play down to 50hz. I wonder if they would be an upgrade from the stock Tempo mids.

to be honest, the mids in each of the sets you've listed have all failed to impress me except for the ctx. I'd honestly get some crescendo pwx 6.5 and some image dynamics XS 28 tweeters, properly seal and deaden the doors, run it active and call it a day. It'll have globs more midbass and detail than those other drivers not to mention louder and overall better SQ. I listen to the acoustic section of spotify a good bit now and the pwx handles all of that extremely fine. guitar string plucks are very lifelike with proper staging etc..
