What is the budget component 6.5 set that outperforms their pricepoint? I mean jbl must of replaced them with something similar, right? Helping a friend and looking for ease of installation and budget. Doesnt need to be jbl.

Probably running active and treated doors. Ppi 900.4 amp

image dynamics

EDIT: FK they discontinued the CTX lines too.

I know i can still buy p660 but why would they get rid of a popular set and replace it with garbage? Still have no idea why the ms62 were stopped. Loved those **** things for the money

the ms62c was very sh*tty, falls apart bad tinsel problems and to be honest, didnt really sound all that great compared to what you can do with raw drivers. Overall output ****** as well, its fine if you only run a single 10 on 1000 watts but that set will struggle with a 140 db sub stage or higher, it can play louder but it'll start to break up and lose SQ.

Ok, so maybe you'll know. Are there any raw drivers that will fit a stock 6.5 cutout unlike the silver flute or the dayton 180's?

very few. You'll always need to make a custom Baffle to get the perfect seal. If you dont get a proper seal and have some open gaps anywhere, you'll lose a lot of sound quality and cause a lot of interferences from the back wave and the front wave of the speaker. Thats the way the aftermarket game works with speakers bud. It'll never be a perfect fit.
