6-12s sealed, or 4-10's ported? spl

as much info as i can provide, looking for daily spl, aka not a fart box if ported, 2000w off a bxi2k, dodge ram standard cab, have roughly 7.5 cubes gross to work with. Going to cone area basically, right now i have a single hdc12 on 2k and im tired of "wow thats loud... for a single 12" im looking for more on the lines of "wtf were you thinkin"

6-12's have approx 2880cm^2 worth of cone area

4-10's have approx 1240cm^2 worth of cone area

only real difference is the 10's would be wired at 1ohm and the 12's at 1.33(unless the bxi2006 can take a .66ohm load... anyone know?)

10's would be hifonics zeus 10's and 12's would be the cheap hifonics hfi 12's

thats basically it, if you can ask me something to better help you answer my question feel free, tried to give as complete an explanation as possible.

.66 will be fine on that hifonics amp cuz after impedance rise you will see a little over 1 ohm which would be perfect. 6 12s is the way to go. it would be close if it was 6 10s sealed or 4 12s ported. but your doing more and bigger subs. sealed should be louder in this situation i would think

Ported is going to be louder. I seen a setup recently, guy dropped from 12 12"s and went down to 9 12"s. He gained 3dbs

but in his case i think it would be louder cuz it would be 6 12s, on less ohm load which means more power.

Thats what I would do personally. Those HFI's are d4 so wiring would be 2ohms or .5ohms.

or get the single 4 ohm version and run them at 1 ohm for that hifonics amp.

well actually... looking at the zeus 12's not the 10's, but the 12's and hifonics recomends 1.25-1.75 cubes ported per 12, graphed it out on winsd and 4 zx12s in 6.5 cubes at 35hz f3 is around 32hz with a 3db gain at 45hz.... so 4-12's ported is the winner i guess, that was short lived

only reason i didn't want to do 4 of the hfi 12s ported was because of the 300w rms, i know they'll take more but i didn't want to push the envolope 2 hard, and the zues series is rated at 500w each and i have the bxi2k which leaves me room to upgrade later to 2600 or maybe an aq2200 sundown 3k, whatever the case may be
