6 1/2 vs. 6 3/4? component vs 2&3-way?

yeah i was thinking of that; read alot that it could be easily modified to hold 6 1/2s but i would rather not; same reason i want coaxials instead of components unless i can mount the tweets to the woofer and use them as fancy coaxials with crossover like the kicker comps.

you would have to fabricate a bracket for the tweeter

or jbl and mephis make a component/coax set, lemme go grab some links
