What are they coming here and doing middle management jobs? No they are doing menial labor jobs for little pay. Things we cant get Americans to do.

When was the last time you saw an illegal teaching school, working the counter at the mall or driving a garbage truck? Never...you see them doing the SHIT job like picking fruit in hot *** weather. They do it for little pay, no benefits and with no complaints.

I like how you ignore the rest of what i said. You dont seem like a bigot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I love how the white middle class kids who live with their parents are being called bigots, racists and ignorant. In a way all those things are a form of hatred. For you to generlize one class and one race is pretty bigoted by itself.

Well faulkton i want to answer you... im not racist or bigoted... you were doing so well. Well i do agree that you can just deport everyone, unrealistic and to costly. I think its a worthy investment to slow the flow down though. And i believe anyone who is saying that americans wont do that kind of work is just plain wrong. If there is a way to get money people will do it, wether its prisoners, entrepenuers, broke people homless it doesnt matter it would get done.

Now they problem with what you said about making these guys legal citizens is that once they would be legalized, you have to pay them legal wages, and return all those benefits that they have been "paying for". So that statement is almost self defeating.

But please dont go on Righteous route yourselves if your hating on white middle class people. Is that the only class that lives here? to me, thats being really ignorant. I dont regurtitate what i see on the news, no i dont... in fact i could just say that your just resaying what you heard from an immigrant activist. It doesnt matter (just making a point) but what it boils down to is to have so many unregistered people in this country puts america at risk. Im not saying because thugs come over here, no, what im taking about is that this gives the rest of the world the idea that hey, if they so can i.

Upon the millions of people who come here and dont "exist" to the system, there could be those few bad apples that produce another 9/11. (hate to make it sound like fox news //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif ) My parents came here legally, why cant everyone. I see how you can be simpathetic to illegal hard working immigrants but now your not being fair for the rest of the people who came here legally.

i could give the example: Lets say i got a speeding ticket of 400 dollars. I didnt want to pay for it. All i would have to do is get a couple million speeders with tickets to march in a street and then i could get my way of not paying the ticket with the millions of others. If there is a rule, a law which is broken down, not followed, ignored by politicians and etc. it lowers the integrity of other laws, law makers, government and the country. Unfortunatley, we have went a different path then what the founding fathers initially intended for. We have a strong centralized government and we are so dependant on Washington DC that giving it a bad image gives the rest of the country the same.

DISCLAIMER: im not a racist and just because i have a strong different view doesnt make me bigoted. Following a law is following a law. Giving law breakers amnesty every 8 years is not a solution.

your parents make you middle class. move out and dont accept any of your parents money and make it to middle class status on your own...try that. then when you have grown up and become an adult let me know. maybe i will give you the respect a man deserves.

Man I honestly think most of you are just bigots and thats just sad.
If you think that the illegals should be here or not, its really inconsequential, because they are here. We are never going to be able to remove them, thats just unrealistic. I mean come on what do you want some sort of ultra fascist government INS squad pissing on the rights of US citizens in an attempt to find illegals?

So they are here, and not going anywhere. The vast majority are hard working individuals who pay taxes. Think of all the consumption based taxes they pay? Gas tax, sales tax, and city taxes like the kind on phones bills, power bills, water bills ect. Then take in the ones paying into social security, workman's comp, federal and state income tax, yet they will never be able to collect.

They come here to do the jobs we wont do, and are treated as outcast while they do it. We need to give the ones who are already here incentives to integrate into our society. Keeping them separate with no loyalties to the US is what will cause a problem.

Again i will say that they come here to do jobs we refuse to do. They artificially keep prices down on labor intensive industries. Without their servitude prices for certain things would go up. Now I'm not saying we should keep the system the way it is, the system is broken. What we need is a comprehensive plan that includes all aspects of the issue. Of course we need to control the boarder, and who crosses it. We also need a legal way for employers to gain access to the workers they need through a guest worker program. Thirdly we need a way for the hard working ones already here to earn citizenship. Taking just one step like building a wall, without taking the others is ludicrous and a waste of time.

To say something like 'hunt them all down and deport their *****' is ignorant, naive, and well racist.

I am really shocked at some of the views expressed here, but i guess i shouldn't be. The majority who post are just middle/upper middle class white kids who haven't really thought through any issues on their own. They just repeat the rhetoric they hear on fox news and from their parents.
x2, very well said.

Perhaps i was harsh in calling most people posting racist. However some of the ideas posted are nothing more than poorly thought out nationalism. This behavior carried to the extreme can be accurately described as racism.

As i stated i think we should gain more control over our boarders, but that is only part of the solution. I think we need a guest worker program of some sort, so that industries with valid need for workers can find them. I do not think it will be beneficial to our economy as a whole to suddenly cut off the labor supply to a large number of businesses that use undocumented labor. Maybe that’s where we disagree, but i just can’t see how that sudden shock and smothering our free market economy will be a good thing. The implantation of artificial restrictions in the form of limited labor supply isn’t appealing to me.

Letting people earn citizenship is not a self defeating. Are you trying to say that these people, once citizens, are incapable of becoming productive members of society? That somehow they will only be a drain on state services due to their country of origin? I was under the assumption that we are a productive nation and so prosperous because we turn our productivity into action. Millions of people working, buying and consuming is what is growing our economy larger and larger. I do not see the addition of hardworking contributing consumers as a threat. The only way i would see allowing people them in as a harm is if i started from the view point that they were somehow unworthy due to their country of origin, and i reject that as a premise.

I in no way intended for my comment to be seen as an attack on the middle class. I come from a comfortable middle class family and attend school in an attempt to become comfortably middle class myself. I was just making a general comment on the uninformed complacency seen by many of these bourgeois children.

As far as why they don’t just come here legally, well that goes back to my point about the need for a guest worker program. Also when my ancestors came here they came from European countries. For some reason we allowed a whole lot more of us in than currently coming in legally from Mexico.

I won’t spend much time with your example of the speeding ticket. I believe that if a law doesn’t appeal to millions upon millions of people, the law should be changed.

Been doing it since I was 15 - still accomplishing it today.

Your idea of respect is skewed - just because I worked to where I'm at doesn't mean much about me as an individual.

Most have the common sense to know that you have to work for what you want in this life - that is part of life and should guarantee little if any respect - it is a fact of life.

Faulkton - you calling people bigots in one hand while stereotyping "middle and upper class white people" doesn't exactly lend much credibility to your statements.

What part about illegal don't people understand about illegal immigrant..

AND how the fuk is the USA gonna grant 11-12 million illegals work status with a plan to citizenship?

They are undocumented peeps and the manpower to process them would be a nightmare!!

AND how the HELL do you know who was here and who just got here!

Who cares if the law makes them felons, then we just have an even more maxed out prison system..

A fence wont work, but a fence with 10,000 volts would work better and its a start

Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986

The Immigration Reform and Control Act is an American law that was created in order to stop illegal immigration from Mexico, which was seen as a threat to the economy.

There were a great deal of immigrants in the United States at the time who were either illlegal or unemployed. The law criminalized the act of knowingly hiring an undocumented worker and established financial and other penalties for those employing illegal aliens, because it was thought that not as many people would be attracted to enter the U.S. illegally if the prospects for employment were low. A one-year amnesty program for illegal aliens who had already worked and lived in the U.S. since January 1982 was established. Those eligible could apply for regularization of status and eventually full citizenship. The law also mandated the intensification of Border Patrol activities including the auditing of employer I-9 forms.

It can and has been done. the problem with the act how ever is that it didn't remove the incentive for people to come across undocumented with some sort of guest worker program. It also failed to secure the border. So in practice it just gave millions more hope that if they made it they eventually would be granted citizenship.

You aren't going to solve the problem from only one angle. Its going to take a multi-prong approach including, amnesty, better control of the boarder and a guest worker program. It will also require hefty fines for employers who try to bypass the guest workers and continue to use undocumented individuals.
