5 channel amp, bridging.

I have a older Helix Dark Blue 5 (5 channel amp) that im gonna bridge to run in 3 channel mode. I have the output side done, but confused, on the input.

Was told to unhook the rear rca's and get splitter's and hook left signal to 1-2 and right into 3-4.

And also was told i should leave all hooked up,on input side - but be sure all left signal's go to 1-2 and right signal's to 3-4 ..and this wouldnt require any splitters.???????

Confusing.. So as of right now, i unhooked rear rca at amp, and used splitters. Is this wrong ?? and other way correct.

Oh, im doing this for the extra power, as i also dont need rear fill. 2006 Corvette Convertible. And my head unit is a pioneer AVH-X5700BHS..

Easiest way is run 1 of the 4 RCA's plugged in for your speakers and for the sub just leave them plugged in. W/o the RCA's the amp won't give ya any sound.

Very very few 5 ch amps can run 3 ch 4 ch and 5 ch simutaniously.

Im pretty sure i got it figured out.

I used my orig RCA'S, but made sure left front/rear were plugged into 1-2 input,, and Right front/rear RCA's plugged into 3-4 input.

And sub signal RCA is still in sub channel input of coarse.

And then i made sure head unit Fader was in mid position.

And i left the switch for 4 channel or 5 channel, on amp at 5.- As there is only that option .

My manual only shows the bridging on output side , so thats why i was ??? on the wiring on input.-- And yes this amp is made so you can run in three channel operation.

This amp is made so it can run in 5 Channel operation or Three, or Fully Active.. Ill try to post pic's.

Amp isnt the prettiest too look at, but its out of sight, BUT its Build Quality is Top Notch !.

OH, Amp is a hybrid A/B on channel's 1-4 - And D on the sub.

that massive is a pos compared to my xtant 403a in such good condition i can see my ugly face through it. im just in a dick mood today huh

lol and I can't even defend that comment because I haven't hooked it up yet. However I did have it's bigger brother, the NX5 and I had no issues with it.

Tell you what tho...it's def small in size.
