4th order or ported??

1.6 sealed and 4.6 ported with 96in^2 of port tuned to 46. I believe that is after the displacement of the subs, port, and 2x4s. I think I used .2 cubes displacemt per sub. Port is 10'' long.

so the above design will be good for 2 BTL's?? and is 46 not to high for it to play low 30's??
both of the gentlemen know their enclosures //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and bandpass works differently itll play into the 30s

From what I've learned through 80 and Gmonk, 46hz is a relatively lower tuning when the ported section is that big.

If you need it one inch narrower just add that extra inch to the height if you can fit it.

i cant fit it...lol the guy building my box wants to use all 1 inch mdf //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I don't think that's necessary. What are your max dimensions?

thats what the guy said...he'd rather do a whole box in 1 inch than double any of it...lol and width is 39 and height is 15...depth doesnt matter
Well tell him I said it isn't necessary, haha. You're going to need two sheets of mdf regardless, unless he lays out every side of the box on the sheet and uses a circular saw to cut so there's no excess material. Two sheets of 1'' has to be expensive I would imagine. Just make it 39'' and the inch you took off the width add to the ported section. The sealed section will have a little less volume than the one I drew up but it shouldn't make any difference.

but the tuning will still hit the lows well right?? lol i jsut want it to sound good for daily man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and im gonna try to talk him into it..lol some ppl are hard headed

Check out SWFL's 4th order blowthrough. His gets real low but I think he's tuned to 43, not sure about that though. Gmonk, 80, or iamamp3pimp would be the ones who can answer those types of questions. I never ended up using that design.
