4th order or ported??

Check out SWFL's 4th order blowthrough. His gets real low but I think he's tuned to 43, not sure about that though. Gmonk, 80, or iamamp3pimp would be the ones who can answer those types of questions. I never ended up using that design.
question...why didint u?? lol

Yeah his build is on here. I was having issues with one of my subs and decided to try out DD 9512s instead of building a BP for the other subs. I read 9500s don't like bandpass enclosures so I decided to stick with a reg ported box.

Toxic is saying different. I was concerned with addressing the issue as well.

I've done plenty of DD's in a bandpass. The sealed chamber in the 4th order provides acoustic suspension control. There is nothing to worry about.

question since we're talkin bout it...what would be the highest you'd cut ur cab...as far as the hole...cause i was thinkin i needed to stay away from the back window if i could cause if i didint it would prob start leakin
Mine is only 11'' high. If you decide to go with a 4th order you can make the cut just big enough to have the port fit through. So lets say you are going with 100^2 of port for example. Make your port 10'' x 10'' and have your cut be about 12'' x 12'' so once you account for the .75'' of wood on each side of the port it will have just a little bit of space around it. Or you can just make the cut huge so you don't have to worry about cutting it again later on down the road of you want to do a bigger setup. It's all up to you. Just remember the floor of the bed and floor of the cab might not be the same height.
