this an SPL box?

with the nature of the sub...i can have them in a regular ported box tuned to 50hz and still hit the lows well

so the fact that this has a -3db rolloff at 36hz it should sound pretty good

with a 4th order there are 2 peaks
first peak is low due to the sealed side.

second peak is high due to the ported side.

Bingo. When you look at the graph of a bandpass system (or a bandpass filter in a crossover circuit for that matter, albeit a different topic), it's going to resemble a plateau. The first is around the tuning of the ported, the second is due to the sealed enclosure. Very difficult to get right, but I'd trust 80 any day of the week for a design.

the build looks good. i got the same sub, but im thinking mine is some what diffrent because mine has like a 1" tall surround. weird.

keep the pics coming, im sure that enclosure will pound nausea symptoms. lol

yes i have diiferent surrounds on mine. but i believe supa said that theres really no difference in the two.
