4ohm over 2ohm?

are you saying why don't they only make 2 ohm speakers??

What if you have 2 2ohm speakers, well now you have 1 ohm... are all amps stable at 1 ohm, no??

What if you have a 2 channel amp and want to use all of its power bridged?? Well then you need a 4 ohm woofer because most 2 channels can't bridge at 2 ohms.

Why get a 4 ohm speaker over a 2 ohm if u get more watts out of a 2 ohm?
You do not "get" more watts out of a 2 Ohm speaker as opposed to the same type of driver in a 4 Ohm configuration.

You will get more wattage out of your amplifier in most cases but you get no wattage from speakers. They are fed wattage from the amplifier powering it.

Differences in voice coil configuration are more to offer wiring flexibility for your particular needs.

What if you have 2 2ohm speakers, well now you have 1 ohm
Or 4 Ohms dependent on wiring method //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
