4k - civic vs accord vs corolla vs maxima vs camry

Ive been looking at cars for a while now and have a general idea of what im after. The situation im in, my budget is 4k, however i have this connection with a wholesaler that goes to dealer only auctions, and can pick a car from a list i give him. Basically the only requirements im throwing out there is nothing over 125k miles, tho i prefer under 100k and it has to be auto.also if its older than 95, it has to be in exceptional condition. Hes good at checking the cars out for mechanical problems, so anything he comes up with will be good there. Heres the list though, in no particular order:

92-96 camry, not DX

98-02 corolla LE

93-00 civic EX

94-97 accord LX, EX

95-99 maxima SE, GLE

Where i need help is prioritizing this list, and if I should have all those makes/models on it. I know thats a big range for civics, but theres a lot out there.

Are all these similar in insurance? Im 21, but havent had insurance in over a year. I used to have a 95 firebird convertible money pit that in the end i sold for 1k and have been waiting tables since. so on one hand, my ins should be high compared to other people in the same cars, but on the other its not going to be as bad as the bird. last thing, im in tx, if that matters.

The main reason im posting this question on this forum, of these cars, how do the system capabilities compare? I guess im asking how does the trunk space compare and are any of these cars terribly bad or hard on installs? Ive had my eyes on a pair of rl-p 12s for quite some time. The 3 configs i can go for are 2dr, 4dr, or 4dr take the back seats out. Not really sure which way to go... Im not really concerned with how the car looks as much as mechanics and how the system sounds. (totally opposite of my last car, lol)

i personally own a 97 civic dx hatch and it is the most reliable awesome beautiful lowest cost maitenence car ive ever owned.

out of all those, i like the looks of the accord and maxima the best. i have a friend that had a 95 maxima that he put through hell (automatic, but manually shifted through the gears.... yeah //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif). it had about 200k miles and still ran great until he wrecked it, go figure. they are good cars though, from what ive encountered. the maxima gets my vote, accord second

I cant tell him to look for just one, bc theres no telling what will be at the auction. im looking to maybe shorten the list, or group the list better so if i have a choice of equal condition cars ill know which one will bump harder, or be more worth the money. are there any on that list that shouldnt be there?

originally i planned on getting an integra. I was dead set on a gsr and would not consider anything else until recently. The problem is that decent gsrs are 6k+ here for 100k miles. Ive seen 8 for under 100k miles, but it had mods... Everything else is swaps, or look ragged and i dont want to get involved with a bad swap. There are a few ls's ive seen, but for 5k-6k range and most have high miles. It seems like 3-4k or so for something on this list is more worth it. Im mainly looking on craigslist until recently cars.com and autotrader. The long term plan actually is to buy one of these cheaper cars, from this list then save up for the best gsr i can find, drive it till the wheels fall off, then swap a type r in, rinse, and repeat.

that sucks. I got my ls for $4200 in really nice condition. almost completely stock. never been wrecked. w/ 129,000 miles. the 4 doors can be found for $3500 around here. I wanted a gsr, but I dont pay for my insurance and my parents werent going to let that happen haha

I ended up finding it in chattanooga though. I guess because the tuner scene is bigger in atlanta all the integras were much more expensive

I have put over 45,000 miles on my 02 corolla per year of owning it (2,1/2 years) and have not had the first problem shes at 150,000 now and still hauls *** carrying a RF T2 15" the amps and all the other crap that goes with it .........so I say go toyota

side note my parents had a 1990 corolla w/280,000 my mom pulled me to the side and said kill it now, so 8,000 rpm for 20min later she passed

I have a 96 honda accord ex, and I love it. It picks up pretty quick too for a small 4 cylinder. lol
