$400 for complete system. what to get?

find an re sub for around 115 or less on re ( depending on line) or the sundown 8. there are some decent amps on ebay that put out a good 4-500 rms.
dont really want to push that much power becuase I only want to use one amp //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

pics of the pioneer6800mp and the diamond d3?
I forgot about cadence. I will definantly consider them

and I dont want to ask a stupid question, but you can run a sub off of 2 channels on a 4 channel amp without any trouble right?
all the 4 channels i dealt with you were able to. Just have 2 channels going to the front left/right, and have the other 2 channels bridged to the sub.

thanks, Ive never used a 4 channel before.

how about

amp: cadence txa-3004 $130 shipped

http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=383

sub: cadence zxw-102 $80 shipped http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=426

comps: Memphis PRS5 $70 picked up

http://atlanta.craigslist.org/ele/912052840.html

then that would leave me $120 for the headunit?

never heard anything about cadence subs, but it would match up nicely with the amp

My father is letting me put together the audio for a 1968 mgbHe wants to stay around $400 or less.

I need a

head unit

6.5" comps

sub(s)

amp (preferably 1 for everything)

the goal of this set-up is SOUND QUALITY on a budget

I am looking to buy new, but I might buy used if the right deal comes along.

Make suggestions...

Good luck. You need a bigger budget honestly. Even buying all used you not getting too much.

PG rsd comps are 60 bucks on sonicelectronics i think.

.. just a thought.. it is possible to have some decent sound on $400 budget.. but mind u that there will be some $$ required for the wiring and sub boxwiring:knu 4 channel 4 gauge $49

headunit:kenwood kdc-mp338 $95

front comps:pg rsd65cs $85

sub:arc ks10d2 $120 or dayton titan mkIII$135

4channel amp:pg ryval v754 $100

$400 or $415.. i dont think this would be a bad sounding setup

thanks. thats the kind of response I was wanting to get. I know I wont really have an "sq" set up, I just want it to sound as good as possible with the budget given.

with that being said, do you have any personal experience with the headunit or the amp?

i have used kenwood headunits in the past.. not bad.. easy to adjust the settings on.. but i have really only used 400+ series.. kenwood's been around for a while, and a lot of ppl like them..

the ryval amps dont seem to be terrible amps either... as far as phoenix gold is concerned;i only have personal extended experience with their xenon line...

i have installed ryval series in other people's rides, from an installation handling standpoint, they seem to be well built amps.i am not a huge fan of the plate connectors, i am partial to direct connect terminals myself..... i havent seen what kind of real output they do tho.. but i imagine as any other phoenix gold product the ryval series wont disappoint for the price

Need moar monies

hmmm.. I was looking and if I went a little cheaper on the sub I could get this kenwood instead http://ikesound.com/product-product_id/7507

depending on the sub that amp might work really well then. Id just like it to do rated power though

My buddy just picked up a pair of Hifonics HFi12D4's on ebay for $59(BNIB). He's running them off a Hifonics TXi7508 in a 2 cu.ft sealed box and they sound "OK" for the money. If you want something more SQ oriented i'd spend at least another $250 on top of the $400 you had in mind.
