$400 for complete system. what to get?

i have a pioneer deh6800mp for $100 that is lightly used and has all manuals, box, and reciepts. also have a deh6000ub BNIB for $160 if you are interested. also have a BNIB Diamond Audio D3 i could let go for $65 shipped. i dont have any 6.5's i could let go, but i do have a pair of MB Quart 4" comps with the extra crossover network to add 6.s" mids to it. it was a very common system. i would take $40 for that set. as far as an amp, i would look into the cadence offerings, http://www.cadencestore.com/ProductCart/pc/viewCategories.asp?idCategory=125

well apparently you are against an alpine R, but IMO for that price range, thats what I would go with. The only way possible for you to keep it near $400 is to visit our classified section, which I recommend you keep an eye on for a few days/weeks, deals pop up from time to time and if you are patient enough, you might find something you can throw together for $400 and it wont be crap

edit: cheap sub for me would be a kicker comp or a type r

pics of the pioneer6800mp and the diamond d3?

I forgot about cadence. I will definantly consider them

and I dont want to ask a stupid question, but you can run a sub off of 2 channels on a 4 channel amp without any trouble right?

nothing against the type r. I personally wouldnt mind trying one, but the goal of this system is to sound good and for the money Im pretty sure I can find something that will sound a lot better than a type r.

I do have an RE 8 and a Diamond D5 300.2 (both in great shape) that I could let go for $135 as a package price.
you then need a deck and mid/highs that can run off the deck
Id REALLY rather run the comps off of an amp. switching from the hu to a small memphis amp in my car made a world of difference

its an old pic, but it looks the same

i can have pics tomorrow. they're in the garage right now, but as far as the 4 channel. it depends on the impedence
alright, pm me when you get them

on the 4 channel though, are the crossovers seperate between the 2 sets of channels?

impendance will be between 2-4 ohms probably

may i ask how/where you plan on mounting the 6.5's? its been a long while since i did an mg, but i am pretty sure it was a pain in the *** to fit 6.5's even in the doors because of depth issues and sheetmetal. kicks wont work either and i seem to remember it had one center speaker.

like that

Ill be measuring before I buy anything, but I should be able to fit a 6.5 in there

i know its a vert and decent sound is a pain to begin with, but i remember not doing it that way because the fact it plays into the side of the seat and leg. a set of slimline coaxes may suit you better off of a nice amount of power. 75rms+

then where would I mount the coaxes?
