4 way system :D

Sounds to me like your trying to piece together an active 2-way system...

a 4-way system would consist of 8 speakers total...you said 2 midbass and 2 other speakers, and hope you're not planning on using the Memphis speakers you currently have

My First idea was to have bass, and component setup with some coaxials on the back to fill the sound since I only have the speakers on the lower door part. That was my main idea, then I decided for the idea to have midbass drivers to enhance the sound, for my pleasure and for fun. so is my idea too complicated? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

whats wrong with memphis? , and the setup im planning consists of one 10 inch sub, 2x 8 inch midbass drivers and 2 midrange and tweeters, the second pair of speakers were just to fill the sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yeah the co-axials arent going to cut it. just go with a 6.5 comp set. and spend some money on deadening for the doors if you want lots of mid bass. i suggest some mach5 mli's with some SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) 1" tweets. great combo, i built the same setup for some bookshelfs i made for a friend. they are a great combo.

your really going about this all the wrong way. just fyi

hmm....so you're saying i should only have some nice components and ma bass?, im not an expert on car audio I just have some crazy ideas //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif lol

well you got some starting suggestions for an nice budget friendly active setup. but if all you got is 1k for a complete system i would suggest investing in stages to increase your budget over time letting you gain knowledge of said car audio at the same time.

hint, start with the front stage! get that to sound awesome, then fill in the missing low end of about 60hz and down.

A true 4 way system is an active 3 way front stage. midbass midrange and tweeter and a sub. So you would need a 4 way active crossover, your nothing going to do this for under $1000 most likely.

Edit: didnt read the whole thread till just now.

Forget your idea. I say keep it simple as you seem to be new with car audio. Do a set of components up front powered by a bridged 4 channel so you have some headroom and it will allow you to go active later if you so choose.

Forget rear speakers esp in a miata

I just need some nice components, equalizer and Front stage amp. that seems simple enough...right?? I have been looking into infinity as well as polk audio although polk is exxxpensive!!, memphis and kicker! as i said, I want loud clear and solid sound, prefer aluminum dome tweeters for sharp ear-bleeding highs

Yes this is probably the best thing to do, in stages. sounds better

lol, yeah i came to the conclusion of leaving my crazy azz ideas for now, know...as I said in the past post, Im looking into those brands for components what you think?

Ive only have experience when it comes to infinity.

I think they sound very very good when listened to a reasonable to somewhat loud volume.

When you crank it though, the tweeters can get pretty annoying.

thats nice input on those, also they have a really good price. I realy need input on the SS components from Kicker Im really interested in hearing how they perform

personally i do not like kicker or memphis speakers, they make good other products but never been a fan.

What is your budget and exactly what equipment do you have left to buy?

Just a heads up before u get flamed, never use a capacitor. might wanna edit ur post, lol
FYI that is incorrect, a cap has a use if it is used correctly which is very very very seldom is, but not completely usless.
