4 volfenhags or 2 alprne type rs ?

im redoing my audio system, currently i have two 12 sony xplodes in a forward facing box. but im trying to decide if i should get a 4 port box and put 4 12 inch volfenhags in it or just keep the box i have and put two alpine type r's into it. its going into a 2001 mustang gt so the quad box would have the subs firing upwords. is there any difference in performance if the subs fired upwords instead of forward? and please help me on my choice between the two subs.

type r's if you have the power.. and if you face your subs toward the back they will sound alot better

OMG save your self, and delete this thread, an get the Type Rs in that choice situation....THERE IS NO WAY TO COMPARE 4 12s to 2 12s of different brand man, why not get 4 type R 12s?

what about a bandbass box with two type r's firing upwords? i want to do something cool in my trunk but im not sure what i can do without having a bandbass with leds or fiberglass.

Type R's are a no brainer. No one here has even considered that he really may not know how big of a difference there is between the two. Properly powered my friend, type 2 typre R's will have some SERIOUS thump.
