This, but the extra cone area should help some.

The DCON 12s will have 18.5% more cone area and have more voice coil surface area to dissipate the heat but the SA15s have 43 % stronger motors so it would be very close, but I would agree with Kanagroux- SA's will be louder due to the higher motor force but the Dcons will have better SQ.

The sa15s are beast.. those are some pretty beefy 15s for the price. I have 2 sa-10s and those get pretty loud as it is. Have yet to hear any ssa products but i cant imagine they would sound to bad

i have owned dcon's and they are...........well........they sound amazing for the price and you be the judge on the spl

Ugh. Go with the SSA's over the SA's. More cone surface area and extremely well crafted (& 100% USA). Dcon's are just as great for SPL if not better for SPL over the SA's and on top of that Dcon's sound amazing at high SPL. SSA subs are unreal. Until you own them and try them out you won't fully understand the balance of both SPL and SQ that they possess. I have owned both and would, in a heartbeat, take SSA subs over SA subs for any build on behalf of deciding between these two.

My 2 cents.

Also, Dcon's can handle a decent amount of power of their rating. Keep power clean as possible as always though.
