4 ohm or 1 ohm?

See I asked this question but actualy plugged the amps in (a XX-Colossus 2 @ 4ohm or a XX-Herculese at 1 ohm) and all I got was people arguing about hifonics as a brand...

go 4 ohms. more voltage, less current flow, will make run amp more relaxed. control over the subs will be better and so the resulting SQ will be.

and please do not use hifonics XX. i know the collossus XI and XX, the XI is rated with less power but will sound WAY better and WAY LOUDER. it is an analougus amp, will draw a lot of current and get pretty warm (well into 2ohms bridged). but is a rock solid amp with awesome SQ.

collossus XX is digital, will sound like a 1500watts analougus amp. power is nothing without control.

try to get a Soundstream VGA 1600.2. less current need than the collossus XI but same power and same nice SQ. i paid $350 back in the days for a brand new 1600.2 but they are not made anymore //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
