4 Gauge wiring.

One question. Me and my friend were talking to the "professional" over here at a shop and HE said that the Alphasonik amp is sh*t because it uses 4 Gauge wire even though it's 2000watts X 1 @ 2 Ohms but then we looked around and saw that the JL 1000/1 also uses 4 gauge but can use 1 gauge as does the kicker 1200.1....is their really a difference or was he bullsh*ting and jes tryin to sell his JL products.

 
wow hes judging the amp output based on the terminal size... verry interesting.

dun listen to him. a 4 gauge wire can take a lot of power if its the correct length that is.

 
thats wut I though. Isn't 4 Gauge wiring max like 1000 watts?
umm it depends on the length of the wire. I mean 1-2ft of 4 gauge can take much more than 1000 watts. Im running 700w on 2 ft of 8 gauge rite now for my viper.
