what were the good models for MTX? (old school)

I just sold my amp cause i need the money but I am thinking about getting one of the OLD SChool MTX 4 channels to use till I can get better stuff again.

which ones were good ? I have heard people like the "X" series black & gold amps(5400X, 4300X) and also the "legend" series silver with blue(Pro400x5?) .

dont know about the black with the red Thunders.

which of these were the best versions they made. there are always cheap old MTX amps on Ebay. I have a 5400X at home but the sub channel is toast.

The Thunder 2300x is the best mtx old school amp rated 600rms 12.5@v and 750@14.4v

benchtest show 710rms@12.5v and 900rms@14.4v... great amp.

I have one in my closet wating to be used.

The ones already mentioned are great too... in general mtx old school amps are great and don't forget old mtx terminators made by ppi.

I have a mint terminator but for some reason it has never worked since I got it....

My RT2600 is pretty **** stout... almost identical to the 2300X (same output ratings, case, etc...)

I thought the poster wanted 4 channel amps. The ones listed above are great too. Let me throw in the Thunder 225HO. I will never sell that amp. Same rms ratings as the 2300x, but its 1 ohm stable. When I run mine, I run it at .5 ohms. Also, .5 ohm stable in stereo mode.

is not the same rms ratings than the 2300x... the 225ho is rated 400wrms at 1ohm briged or 200 .5ohm per channel... it's underrated though but not as powerful as the 2300x

2300x=750rms @ 14volts

225HO=700rms @ 14 volts

close enough for me with both being underrated. The goldenest of ears wouldnt be able to tell a difference.

The 1500DX is one of the greatest amps of all time... of course that's my opinion
