4 gauge terminals with 1/0 wire

What kind of problems could I have? I have only 4 gauge ring terminals but I need to hook up a 1/0 cable. The ring will go to a battery. The 1/0 will run from the battery to a distro block.

Is there any risk? Safe?

I live in Chile, and I had trouble finding even 8 gauge terminals. These are from an order I did to knu which took a few weeks to get here.

I cant wait any longer because now its the only time I have rewire my car.

That should work just fine. Just trim the copper down obviously. And make sure it's a good connection.

Only way to do it for it work good is to solder it. Get as much copper that you can in the terminal get a torch heat it up and fill the inside of the connector with solder then try to solder the left over wire to the terminal. If you can't get it to you can trim it off, it will be just fine.

Ok, I've been searching and found some 1/0 terminals from hardware stores, will a 1/0 Tinned terminal work just fine?

Yes it will. Stop worrying, as long as you have a good solid connection you will be fine. Would recommend soldering though.

nothing will happen. over such a short distance it will not matter. just make sure the wire wont break and fall out.

Its the best thing I could find The 1/o wire fits perfectly. Its a little ugly but I will polish it a little bit to make it look nicer. It should work ok, right?

yea thatll work it just doenst have any insulation so make sure none of that touches anything grounded. the set screw (bolt haha) will be live and everything

Yeah, I was thinking instead of using the bolt I'll just solder the wire to this thing.
