Im just curious how this works. If you are running a 4 channel amp with the front 2 channels to comps and the rear bridged to a sub, what preamp from the HU do you use? If you dont use a sub preamp from the HU then I dont think you can take advantage of bass boost on the HU. So with that kind of setup, which preamp from the headunit (front,rear,sub) do you use, and do you lose any benefits as opposed to a 2 amp setup?

Most 4-channel amps have separate inputs for each channel, so you can run a different input to the rear channels than you did to the front channels.
