4 channel going into protect but mono still playing

So last night I installed a 320a mechman alternator and now my hifonics alpha 1200.4 goes into protect but my wolfram c2400 continues to play on my sub... I have big 3, checked grounds and everything the only thing that changed was the alternator from the stock 160a to the mechman... I don’t have voltmeters or any of the meters to check voltages... I can find some time and take it in to a shop if necessary.. was wondering if there’s anything I can check myself before doing so to remedy the situation

Possibly a bad voltage regulator in the alt. I've seen a few Mechmans with that issue. Can't really think of anything else at the moment.

So an update for anyone out there.. it’s seems to only cut out at idle but when driving it stays on... with the stock 160a alternator it would play just fine at idle for some reason with the 320a at idle it cuts out at any volume level at idle.. in perplexed
