4 American bass tnt 10s or 2 obsidian 18 v2?

So Ive sold off almost everything and starting over with a 4door truck. Ive kept my ab ph4000, So 2kish is where I will start. I have experience with the tnt subs but not with obsidian or any 18s for that matter. The tens would obviously require a good bit less cubes but the preorder for the 18s brings them to my door for around 360bucks. Also the ph4000 would probably fair better at powering just the two 18s. This will be in a 2000 ram ext cab. Id expect the tens in about 6-8cubes at 32hz and I had figured the 18s in 10-12cubes at 30hz.

How do u guys figure the 18s bieng slightly overpowered will fair compared to the 4 tens,slightly under power? Also this is just for a fun daily not a meter.

the 18's will take the power im planning on throwing 2 of there 12's in my truck on a sound qu 2200 or one of the new ct sounds amps

Do u have experience with them? How do u think they would do with a ab ph4000 on each one? I know thats well over the 600rms rating but I figure I could gain down to 1200ish on each and shrink the enclosure to compinsate for the power?

i know right i wish i had stuff like that when i was 12 but it slams pretty hard i think he does a 153 im looking forward to getting my 12s

I'd go with the two 18's.

We all know 40" of bass > 36" of bass

Personally I would go with the two 18s you dont have quite the power for the 4 10s to play at full potential add another ph4000md to the 4 10s and youll be sitting right.

but really the 2 18s will be easier on your wallet and your car cept for the rattles those just ****.

the ph4000md should be ok for the 18s if you are worried just set the gain for about 1500w. Th8s will leave you some headroom so you dont clip the subs and the voltage draw will be less anyway.
