4, 2, or 1 ohm?????

Looking for a little advice. I have an Alpine PDX 600.1 and will be running that to a Alpine SWR-12D4. According to the directions on the sub, I can wire it at 1, 2, or 4ohm's. What would be the best way to run the sub?? If it makes a difference, I have a vented box.

You can only wire that sub to a 2 ohm or 8 ohm. Wire it to 2 ohm and that amp will give it around 600 watts. Here's a wiring diagram for you: http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=1&woofer_imp=4

Thanks, and now that I look at directions again you are correct. Directions are for both SWR-12D4 and D2. Thanks again.
