I'm changing my Jeeps sound system, from a homemade box of 4: 8" PowerBass marine 120W rms.

I'm thinking of put back the stock 2 speaker bar due to space.

Would 2 speakers of 240w rms each, sound as good as 4 speakers 120w rms each?

Or it's not that simple?

With the same amount of power, more speakers that handle less power each is better, because lower-power speakers are usually more efficient and reach their full potential with less power. The only downside to more speakers is they require more space.

No issues there. The amp will output depending on the speaker's impedance rating. Are you using a component x-over or is only the tweeter with x-over?
