4 12" Type R's or 2 15" L7's???

I have 2 of the silver coned L7 15's right now but was thinking of a change.... What in your opinion do you think would be: Louder? Sound better? Any help would be nice.... I have 2000 watts to work with...

If you go with 4 type r's your gunna need more power... Id reccomend running 2000 watts to one l7 then use the other for when it blows... muahahaha... seriosly though, if youd put more power into the 4 type r's the SQ would be much better.

I'd stick with the L7s cause of power issues.

If you could get more power, the R's definately have more potential to get loud and most likely sound a little better doing it.

Last I checked Hype-R's aren't winning SQ comps. L7's have.

If you want to make a fart cannon, get the R's, electrical upgrades, more money for gas, and a shit ton of work.

Unless you are going to an SPL competition, the Type R's will do just fine with 500wrms. You will get told they *need* more by people who compete, but they really don't unless you are trying to get them to their FULL potential. With 500 watts apiece, 4 Type R 12's would be stupid loud.

4 Rs isn't going to be a big upgrade if you keep the same amp. Not worth the time/money.

If you get another/bigger amp, R's for sure.

15^2 x 2 = 450 in^2 for L7's

(Pi)(6^2)(4) = 452.29 in^2 for the R's
