36 or 38hz tuning too high?

the spec sheet that the treo rep sent me says a 20sq in slotted vent port. i dont know...??

Do at least 30sq in each.

My box is tuned to about 40-42 hz and I like it. It still gets low enough for me. I have my SSF at 33 hz and it plays 33hz quite well.

really? regarless of what treo says, you think it will play better with more port?? this is why i love this forum

see thats the problem. i love the bass in both of those songs. bia bia is great cause it freakin slams. but i love that low bass that will rattle pictures off the wall. the Fs on the subs is 30hz which is just the drop off. i could call treo and give them measurements of my truck so they could get the resonant freq., but it recomends 36-38hz. it will be a 5cube ported with 2200rms

Fs does not mean the end my friend.

You can make a high Fs driver dig past 20 with authority.

Its all in the system design.

thats what i like to hear... ok, so the box is limited to being 5cubes. so for 2 15 tsx's what size port and what tuning do you think i should go with??
