Stereo install amateur (n00b) needing help. I searched online and tried to find some answers, but it's just a little overwhelming.

Car: 2004 330ci, Harman Kardon stereo

HU: Factory

Front/Rear: Polk Audio DB6501 6.5-Inch

Sub: JL 10wv3, JL box sealed box

Amps:Alpine Power Pack, xtant 121m

Right now i'm running into issues wiring from the HU wiring with all the component wire to the Power Pack and back out to the cross overs for the aftermarket speakers. How do I wire 16 wires, down to the 8 for the power pack so I can wire to the components?

Pictures make life awesome....

Power Pack: Many less wires than factory harness. This is what is causing my headaches. Wiring into this, then back out to speakers.

the KT-445 power pack is made to work with an alpine head unit. the KT-445U is the "universal version" but not easily compatible with premium sound systems. it won't sum the channels. you're using the wrong tool for the job. there is probably a way to make it work, but you need to know what the wiring diagram is for the premium factory system.

you need something that will sum all of the active speaker outputs. JBL MS-8 is your best bet. includes all summing necessary and has a built-in amp.

or you need to intercept the audio signal before the HK factory amp. then you need to figure out if it's high-level or low-level.

The HK factory amp is coming out completely.

Ideally, I am looking to either combine the wires before it goes into the Power Pack and reduce it from 16 wires to 8. Thats the hard part. Or, I need an amp that can accept all 16 wires, amplify the signal, and then output it into something I can wire to the crossovers for the components.

You need to get rid of that factory HU. I was considering keeping mine when i had my 328. I went with a alpine 9887 and it was the best decision I ever made with that car.
