Im helping my friend set up a new SQ system, and he just got a 300 RMS amp. Now he is looking for a single sub to run on it, and i dont really know of many.

I have never really looked at 300W subs, so im having trubble suggesting them. I was thinking of a singe 12P2, but thats basically the only sub i know that can run well off of lower wattage, so im guessing its not the best option.

it will be going in a sealed Box that can be from .75 to .175, and will most likely be inverted.

SQ is the biggest thing, but if its affordable it would be nice to. there really isnt a set budget, but being cheap will definatly help us decide.

Dls Mw110 is amazing without a ton of power, extremely detailed. My Iridium is fantastic, but budget kind of takes a back seat to that one- not a budget sub, but friggin' sweetness

wow, now theres a bunch of suggestions. Like i said before, there isnt really a set budget, but being cheap will definatly earn it points when it comes to picking one.

The Shiva and the IDQ are in the lead so far. it is kind of dissapointing that they look so plain inverted, but thats not really enough to change my mind.

its gonna take me a while to go through all of these though....

Why invert? Is it just for show? I'm not bashing- it broke my heart to bury the beautiful Iridium magnet/basket/all that in my sealed box never to be seen again. Sounds killer though.http://www.dlsamerica.com/

im inverting the sub so the box can be lower profile behind the back seat.

i measured, and it has to be 34" wide to fit nicely in the trunk, and about 13.5" tall minimum to fit a 12" driver. i would be throwing my volume way off if i had to make it deeper for a big driver. inverting i dont have to worry about driver displacement or driver depth when doing the final dimentions.

now back to reaserching those subs....

all of the ones ive seen so far look good to me.

- Adire Shiva

- Image Dynamics IDQ

i wish i could hear them back to back to make my final choice.

Probably not quite as good as Shiva or IDQ, but Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 sounds very good.
