I had an Infinity 120.9 along with this Kicker amp that was feeding the sub 300w RMS in a sealed box. The Infinity failed, so they gave me a Kicker Comp R as a replacement. I'm looking for a entry / mid level SQ sub, so I think I'm going to just sell the Kicker as it doesn't sound that great.
I saw that someone mention the Soundqubed KDS212 in another thread. That price is pretty attractive, and I have a feeling the SQ will be much better than the Kicker. Think it'll run okay with my current amp? Box is a POS prefab, I'm going to need to get one built. I think it's 1.2cu/ft.
Here's a few soundcloud links to get an idea of what kind of bass I like..if you're in your car, give 'em a try. I've been thinking that the cost to reproduce this kind of bass is going to be expensive because of the low frequencies. The Infinity sounded clean, but I could tell it was struggling to hit lower notes.
Until Then
