3000 RMS + Ext. Fuse req. I'm fuses 300a inline.

So im upgrading to a brx3016.1d 3000 rms 1ohm. My 1/0 power wire is fused inline 300A anl at the battery under the hood. The manual calls for an external 250A. Ground is 1/0 at amp with 1/0 big 3.

Do I really really-really need a 2nd fuse?

Not like a 250A fuse will really protect that amp if something goes wrong so yeah, don't bother.

With that much power...you may need an extra battery,with the Big 3 done also to keep up/possibly 2 batteries depending on alternator

Big 3 is in. Cscstang did it. Alternator is 130A. Hifonics amps zuck the current up, i hear. And this brx3016.1d is no improvement to the brutis line. Someone said they skimped on type/brand capacitors and heatsink location making this amp get super hot. Burned my hand in 3-4 seconds. The Underhood battery is the original group 65 now sits at 12.4 from 12.6 few months ago.

Cruising at 45-55mph i was seeing 11.8v before the the second bass line was over! I'm trying to find a AGM that is affordable. None of the Sam's clubs around carry Duracell AGMs. 170$+ is the lowest for what everyone here recommends for AGM. Sears is 179 for the platinum.

Totally acceptable if theirs nothing lower priced that's carried in a store.

I hope voltage will be stable with the new agm.

The hifonics has a lot more power then the previous setup: 1 (rated) kicker cx1200.1 powering each hds315 @ 2 0hm.
