I would love to do an active system, but that means more amps, and that's not going to happen. I'm just looking for a good, solid set for when we are out on the trails and doing some camping. I'm not looking to put a big system in this at all. There will be the 3-way up front, and a single slim mount sub in the back. Nothing to big, and it's all out of the way when we throw the gear back there. If you insist on running 3-way, go semi active. Get a solid 4" comp set and then add a midbass on its own amp. Actively bandpass the midbass.
Not new to tuning at all. Currently in my car I'm running an active system, but soon I will be adding a lot more!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif I'm not afraid to give this a try and see if it works, I have been doing this for a little while now and I know I can make it work. I'm not looking to compete with this, just have some nice tunes for camping and the such. Personally I really feel that the FJ is perfect for a 3-way set up in the front.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifYour thinking is wrong. My buddy tried that in his FJ and a 2way is a better choice, especially if you are a bit new to tuning.
