3 Type R 12s on a A3000DB?

Okay My buddy knows someone that has 3 12inch Type Rs 04 model......So i offered 300CDN since that will save me from shipping prices.

They are D4ohms so I would have to run 2.67 or .67ohms.

How will the A3000DB perform at 2.67??Will it handle .67 daily??

I know I ran mine at 1 ohm and it didnt even heat up barley!!!

What should I tune that box too as well....I listen to mix rap,rock techno...

I had 3 Tpes S 12s in a 4.28 sealed box and it was crazy loud....But i beleive I should port the Rs.

that amp puts out 1800watts at 2ohm. soo id run all the subs at 2.67 ohms and be easy on the gains. the older modle type Rs are rated for 300watts RMS, but im sure they could handle 400+ watts of CLEAN power. i would tune the box in the lower 30s with ruffley 2 cuft NET per sub

looks like your amp puts out 2300watts at 1ohm. those subs CANNOT handle that much power. wire the subs to 2.67 ohm and go easy on the gain settings

Ya im really hopeing the deal goes thru....because im sick of wanting subs and getting killed on the duty fees....since im canadian....Also with these subs i should have a bit how trunk....

I plan on trying to fibreglass it for my first time...is it really all that hard it seems simple but long process?

if you want to port the subs and your new to fiberglass, i recomend just building a good ol fashion wood box. ported fiberglass boxes can get a bit tricky, to do it right u need to know the exact displacment of the box.

ya im sure you could get 3 '05 type r's for about 300 off ebay, but you would have to pay shipping

and i also have a question, why is the 12" type r like 160 online and the 15" is like 260?

ikesound.com guys, 105 for a 12" type r and i believe its like 250 shipped for 2 of them.
