3 RE SE vs 3 Type R

Hey guys, so im selling my Truck and getting a Tahoe. I am going to be running 2 12's off of a BXI2407D Brutus 2400w@1 ohm. in a ported box tuned to around 33hz. I listen to alot of rap becasue of the subs, but i also like to listen to alot of rock/metal!

I am going for SQL. I want to get loud when i want, but also sound good when i can!

Hopefully you guys can help me get into the right direction!

Any other suggestions on different subs would be helpful as well. I want to spend under 600 on subs!

SE, IMO. Compete with the R in SPL and also sound a lot better. 2 SE12s ported @33hz will be LOUD.

My brother has one in about 2 cubes tuned to 32hz...running off a 350wrms Alpine mono amp (half the rms rating of the sub) and it shakes the car (2006 G6 GT) to pieces...

SE would be my pick, but 2400rms to a pair is way to much power for them!

a 2407? i believe the only 07 models were 2007 and 2607?

for SQL i would say the SE's also though. 2400RMS is a little extreme for them so be careful.

However if you were more worried about loudness i would go with the R's. with 2400RMS, those R's will be retarded loud, but wont sound as good as the SE's will.

Dude, I JUST put in 3 10" SEs SEALED in my Merc running off the IA 20.1. I love the shit out of 'em and they are perfect for a SQ set-up. They get loud and are very clean. Ported I think they would be great, but I wanted to get away from a ported box ( previously had 12" XXX ported)

I'm going to be selling mine to get some CM Ul 12s" so if your interested we could work a deal for my SEs. (Custom built dual 1.5 ohm each= 1 ohm load to amp)

SEs are great, but that lots of power. I fed mine 1600watts all day and they took it. Id go for some RE SXs with that power
