I need to install some 3.5" speakers in my car. Does anyone recommend any certain ones. I'm new to the audio world, so im not sure what to buy. I'm most likely going to try and find some on ebay because i dont have a ton of moeny to spend. I just want something decent and reliable.

I have a Buick Grand National that has the 3.5 dash speakers...I put a set of Earthquake Screamer mid tweeters in the dash ...with the brackets they were a near perfect fit...And that has to be the best set of mid tweeters I have ever heard...I ran them on radio power and wired into the inline 18db crossover......They are loud and crystal clear....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Pioneer makes horrible 3.5's. Rockford Fosgate's Power series (if they make them in 3.5's) are good speakers. Infinity is also a solid choice. In my Celica, I used Memphis Audio's Power Reference series 3.5's. They're loud for what they are. Don't expect much from 3.5's, they're too small to do much damage.

What kind of vehicle? If there is anyway you can custom install 6.5" or even 5.25" speakers in the kicks or doors, that would be the way to go. 3.5" are very inefficient and lacking in midbass in comparison... plus, speakers firing up at the windshield is not the best way to go.

Actually Pioneer once had a really awesome set of midrange 3.5's I think I still have a set....but their new stuff is pretty much crap...most 3.5's are crap...really...and the Pioneers I had were a mid range not a coaxial....That is why I like my Earthquake mid tweeters....I'm thinking of adding a small amp to them //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You seem to have more money to waste than any other member of this foum, so of course you like what you have. You can afford to buy it and build it on your own time... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blackeye.gif.66a1670f5aaf7f406e783a63e3387dc5.gif
