I have a 4 gauge run through my car, I'm planning on a 2nd amp for my speakers when I get the money and time (really just time). Should I do a second run of 4 gauge or just do one run of say 1/0 to a distro? I might put in a battery too just to be safe. The system will have a little more than 1000+ wrms through it and maybe more if I decide to upgrade my sub over the summer.

If you are going to go through the effort to run more wire, you might as well pull the 4 and lay 1/0 to distro and use the 4 from distro to amps

with a 1/0 gauge, I get a larger wire so I dont have to worry about installing newer and mroe powerful subs (which I plan on doing sometime)

But for now, your 4 ga. is enough for that amount of power. Wait til you get your upgrades to see what you need. IMO
