I am planning on using one amp to run 2 12's. The amp is MB Quart RAA2400 rated at 2x400 watts @ 2ohms. There are 3 fuses on the amp at @ 30a each. I will be installing a 4 gauge power wire with an inline fuse at 80a. Do I need another fuse right before the amp and if so, what amperage?

You fuse for your wire. I THINK 4ga is 125A.

Your amp has 90A of fusing and your current fuse for the wire is only 80A. Math doesn't add up.

I was planning on using the fuse that came with KnuKonceptz KLM 4 gauge kit, but thanks, I will go with a bigger fuse.

All right, I am officially confused. I have 3 different answers here. Is it 90, 125, or 150 amps?

btw, the fuse with the amp kit is AGU.
